Facilities available to citizens for obtaining information

Central Bureau of Narcotics does not maintain any public library or reading room. However, it has following facilities available to citizens for obtaining information:-

1. All the information relevant for public in respect of Opium poppy cultivation, Manufacture/ Export / Import of Narcotics Drugs, Psychotropic substance and precursor chemicals which requires Permissions / Authorisation / NOCs from the Narcotics Commissioner is available on the departmental website, 'www.cbn.nic.in'.

2. Central Public Information Officers, as required under Sec.4 (1) b(xvi) have been appointed in all the Administrative offices of the department.

3. Any public can also submit request / representation to any office of Central Bureau of Narcotics in respect of function / duties of that office.

4. An internal procedure / instructions have been devised to facilitate citizen in obtaining information under the Right to Information Act, 2005.
